BIO
From a project engineering then commercial background, Aidan has been working in sports development at Queen’s University since 2011, has an MSc in Sports Management and is accredited as a coach tutor.
Now retired, Aidan reached the very top of Gaelic Football as a player – he won All Ireland, Provincial and National League titles as well as an All-Star representing Armagh between 1996 and 2009. As a coach or manager, Aidan has also worked at every level from nursery to Inter County as well as acting as a coaching mentor.

In recent years Aidan led Queen’s Sport’s project team to deliver our new five year strategy for sport, entitled “Our Gameplan” and has worked across all sports as Performance Sport Manager. Aidan also works with sporting and non-sporting organisations to develop leadership and team frameworks to impact on performance.
Drawing on the extensive experience from his athlete, coach and administrator journeys, Aidan works closely with athletes, teams and coaches at Queen’s to support performance in all areas.
